| Housed in a beautiful, traditional Chinese courtyard structure, La Galerie may look like an expensive tourist trap, but the Cantonese cuisine here is outstanding (albeit higher priced than that of its competitors). The barbecue pork pastries are sinfully rich, crispy and deliver a flavorful softness with each bite, while the superb egg tarts have a flaky crust and are filled with perfectly sweet and smooth custard. With a prime location overlooking Ritan Park, La Galerie is an alfresco favorite in warmer weather. |
